What is it about?
The Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification is globally recognized and demonstrates to employers, clients and colleagues that a project manager possesses knowledge, experience and skills to successfully run a project.
Project Management Institute (PMI®) has recently changed their approach to certification. The new guidelines, particular the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) 7th Edition is not suited for self-study. With a broader focus on a variety of predictive, iterative and adaptive project management approaches, the PMP® certification preparation has become more complex and difficult. STS has created an innovative and creative learning approach. While strictly covering the ECO (exam content outline) and reflecting the material to which we have access as a PMI Authorized Training Partner (ATP), our experienced, certified instructors facilitate class discussions, activities and use case studies to bring the theoretical approaches to life in real project environments. Our live training courses are supplemented with extensive e-learning modules. Our courses also include access to a world-leading exam simulation tool "X-AM”, which includes about 1300 test questions and optional digital learning tools. Our instructors will be available to accompany and coach you until you receive your PMP® certification. Lessons learned and sharing experiences plays a large part in our workshops.

Inhalt
Learning journey
The public PMP certification preparation course is delivered in a blended learning format including an instructor-led trainings and aself-learning phase. The journey starts with a virtual kick-off meeting, about one week before the first day of the training. Then follows a 4-day course with individual preparation work – split into 2 blocks of 2 days. The "All inclusive” package also offers distant coaching between the self-study phase and the classroom training. The course is proposed in a hybrid format: face-to-face with the possibility to join in virtually.
Learning Material
• In line with PMI’s ATP training approach, each certification candidate will have access to PMI’s extensive "PMI® Authorized PMP® Exam Prep” containing a student handbook, videos, templates, checklists, and self-assessment tests
• Course Material: The electronically provided binder includes all slides presented by the trainer.
• Each participant will also have access to our exam simulator X-AM PMP - an online learning tool which helps candidates:
-to learn, consolidate and revise subject matter by answering questions and reviewing explanations;
-to evaluate their knowledge level and to follow their progression by means of statistically stored performance measurement;
-to practice for the exam under close-to-real conditions.
• As an option, each participant can add a digital library of dedicated project management learning contents which treat the different certification topics in more details. This self-paced digital learning material will reinforce the learning and provide
in-depth insights to important project management topics including Agile, social competences, etc. Participants should expect to make a considerable personal investment to prepare for this exam.
Voraussetzung
Prerequisites
In order to be eligible for the exam project managers must fulfill the following criteria
-min. 36 months experience in leading and directingspecific tasks and 36 months of project management experience in the past 8 years with a university degree
or
-min. 60 months experience in leading and directing specific tasks and 36 months of project management experience in the past 8 years with a highschool degree
-at least 35 contact hours of formal project management education (satisfied by taking this preparation course)

-understand the framework, processes and methods according to the official PMP® Exam Content Outline and the PMI® PMP® Handbook.
-be ready to take the PMP® certification exam.
